Expanded metal
Cut-and-stretched sheet for cladding, sun screens, balconies and ceilings.
Photo: Wikimedia CommonsOverviewWhat it is
Expanded metal is a sheet slit and stretched into diamonds: one piece, no welds, rigid and light. It screens sun and views while letting air through, and it looks more closed from an angle than straight on.
We supply it in aluminium, MS and stainless steel, anodised or powder-coated, with the substructure designed by us.

Aluminium for façades and ceilings where weight matters; MS for robust screens and walkways; stainless for coastal sites.
How open is expanded metal?
It depends on the diamond and the strand; the explorer above estimates it for any pattern.
