Construction safety nets
Jakob fall-arrest nets to EN 1263-1 type S, and debris nets, for work at height on buildings and bridges.
Jakob referenceOverviewWhat it is
Work at height needs a net that catches people. Jakob’s type S fall-arrest net to EN 1263-1 is the common type in construction: high-tenacity polypropylene, Ø5 mm cord, with a Ø12 mm border rope rated at 30 kN, hung horizontally below the working area.
Every net is made to size. Choose a 100 mm mesh for fall arrest, or 45 and 60 mm where smaller tools and debris must be stopped too. Debris nets on scaffolds and façades complete the protection.

PermanentWhen the net should stay
Construction nets protect while the building goes up. Where a void, a stair or a helipad edge needs protection for good, a stainless Webnet net replaces them. Stairwell, void and atrium nets → Helipad safety nets →

QuestionsFrequently asked
What does type S mean?
EN 1263-1 type S is a safety net with a border rope, used horizontally to catch falls. It is the common type for work in construction.
Which mesh should we choose?
100 mm is standard for fall arrest; 45 and 60 mm also stop smaller tools and debris.
Can a net stay up permanently?
For permanent protection, such as atriums, stairwells and helipads, we recommend stainless Webnet: it does not burn, rot or fade.
