OverviewWhat it is

A rope is only as good as its ends. Jakob’s connectors (external and internal threads, forks, eyes, end stops, loops, clamps, tensioning components, carriers and anchoring elements) reach at least 90% of the rope’s minimum breaking load.

We specify the full chain for each project: the anchor in the structure, the tensioner, the terminal and the rope, all in the AISI 316 material group.

QuestionsFrequently asked

Can fittings be fitted on site?

Some terminals are swaged in the factory for full strength; others can be fitted on site. We plan which is which with the rope lengths.

How do I tension a cable?

With a turnbuckle or threaded terminal at one end. We set the pretension during installation and check it at handover.
