OverviewWhat it is

For green façades we hold Webnet on a framework of Jakob Ø6 mm ropes, fixed off the wall with our eye brackets. There are no frames: the ropes are the frame. Tendril climbers and scramblers grip the mesh everywhere, so the cover is even over the whole surface.

Planters or beds, drip irrigation and the right climbers make it grow. At Nirlon Knowledge Park, Mumbai, about 3,200 m² of Webnet Ø2 / W 120 mm on Ø6 mm ropes and 2,133 eye brackets turned a multi-level car park into a green building.

QuestionsFrequently asked

Why Webnet instead of ropes?

Ropes suit twining climbers. Webnet gives a hold every few centimetres, so tendril climbers and scramblers can cover the whole surface evenly, and the mesh can follow curves and bands.

Do you use frames?

No. The Webnet is laced to a framework of Jakob Ø6 mm ropes held off the wall by our eye brackets. The ropes are the frame.

How green does it get?

With planters, drip irrigation and the right climbers, the mesh fills in steadily. At Nirlon Knowledge Park the bare framework of February 2022 was dense with growth by February 2025.
